Kuwait City – On Monday evening, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of eight individuals on charges of operating a residence engaged in activities contrary to public morals in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Farwaniya Governorate, in exchange for financial sums.
The Ministry’s Security Media Department, in a statement posted on its official Twitter account, stated that “the General Security sector, represented by the Security Directorate of Farwaniya Governorate, managed to apprehend eight individuals for managing a residence that engaged in activities contrary to public morals, in exchange for financial sums, in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. This was accomplished through continuous security monitoring.”
The Department added that “all necessary legal measures are being taken against them, and they will be referred to the competent authorities.”
Earlier, the Ministry had reported in another tweet on its Twitter account that “the General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations managed to apprehend two bogus domestic worker offices harboring nine violators of the residency law who were employed on a daily basis in the Sabah Al-Nasser area. Additionally, 13 violators were arrested in the Salmiya area. They have been referred to the competent authorities, and legal procedures have been taken, including blacklisting the company for the offenders.”
